FANTASY FOOTBALL - MONDAY NIGHT PREVIEW 9.29.08

Hey, Fantasy Sports Girl Annie with your Monday Night Preview. With a growing injury list, Monday might not be pretty, but leagues are won and lost on the ugly games. So letís squeeze some fantasy points from a stone in this week's Monday Night Preview.

The Steelers are missing Parker, so if you've got Mendenhall, let him rip; just don't expect too much. The Ravens D is stingy against the run and Mendenhall has a slippery pair of hands.

Speaking of backs, everyone knows about Ray Rice, but the real guy in Baltimore has been Le'Ron McClain. He rumbled for 66 yards and 2 scores in week 3. With questions about McGahee's health, he looks even better tonight.

If you have to start a receiver tonight, Hines Ward is the one to pick. Big Ben's dinged up and Ward has become his primary target averaging 56 yards and a touchdown per game.

If I'm starting Ward, I'm benching Santonio Holmes. I had great expectations for the speedster, but Big Ben's injuries have limited his ability to go deep.

I'm also not wild about Big Ben himself this week. I know, he's probably your starter and you don't have a choice, but keep your expectations low. The big fella has more turnovers than touchdowns, is still looking to crack 180 yards in a game and was a punching bag last week.

Derrick Mason is also not a great start. He has 86 yards in 2 games and just doesn't seem to be on Flacco's radar. The game should be close throughout, so the Ravens will pass only when necessary.

That's all I've got for now, so get back to work! And remember to check out more videos at www.fantasysportsgirl.com.
