Hey, Fantasy Sports Girl Jennifer with the latest stock report coming out of camp and going into your fantasy draft. Today we’re checking out the AFC South.
Despite needing a wide receiver, the Titans made Chris Johnson their #1 pick and after his first preseason game, the rest of the league knew why. With 4.2 speed and nearly 7 yards per touch, you can bet the Titans will get him the ball in an otherwise shaky offense.
Peyton Manning practiced yesterday for the first time and the reviews were very positive. He looked like the same old Peyton, is still on track for the season opener, and should still be a top 3 quarterback on your board.
Matt Schaub was beginning to put up good numbers last year before an injury ended his season. Completing 69 percent of his passes for 382 yards and 3 touchdowns in preseason has him climbing draft boards everywhere.
Vince Young’s had a rough go of it so far. Young’s only completed 43 percent of his passes and hasn’t thrown a preseason touchdown. The Titans O still needs to find their rhythm, which is bad news for a fantasy owner looking for early production.
The Jags added Jerry Porter to their roster in the offseason, but so far, he’s added little to their team. The hamstring that forced him out of camp is now expected to keep him out of the opener. He was never going to be featured, but a nagging injury limits his value even more.
The Texans were supposed to be a dominant ground team this year, but they’re 23rd in preseason rushing yards. Ahman Green has been injured and Chris Brown might not even make the team. Yes, someone will start here, but it’ll be tough to rack up fantasy points.
That’s all I’ve got for now, so get back to work! And remember to check out more videos at fantasysportsgirl.com!
